Rapid Digital Growth Ltd (trading as Fixperts) is the data controller for personal information collected through Fixperts. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

2. What Information We Collect

Account information

First name, last name, email, phone number, suburb, encrypted password

Location information

Suburb (shown to others) and full address (kept private until payment confirmed)

Specialist information

Trade type, service area, Stripe Connect account ID

Payment information

Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by Fixperts

Usage information

Jobs posted, quotes sent, messages exchanged, reviews given

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To match Clients with suitable Specialists
To process payments and manage escrow
To send SMS verification codes for security
To send job notifications and messages
To resolve disputes between users
To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
To comply with legal obligations

Your address, phone and email are only shared with a Specialist after you confirm job completion and release payment

5. How We Protect Your Information

All data encrypted in transit using HTTPS
Sensitive fields encrypted at rest
Payment card data never stored by Fixperts
Row-level security — users only access their own data
SMS verification required for sensitive actions

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information while your account is active. On account deletion, personal information is deleted within 30 days. Transaction records are retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance.

7. Your Rights

Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020 and Australian Privacy Act 1988 you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Download a copy of your data
Withdraw consent at any time

8. Cookies

Fixperts uses essential cookies only — required for the platform to function such as keeping you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

9. Children

Fixperts is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
